Meraz Zafar, whose partner was discovered in an acid-filled bathtub in Sydney’s northwest is currently imprisoned by Bankstown police station.
His lawyer, Mohamad Sakr, appeared in court on his client’s behalf and was provided with time until April 5 to allow for the preparation of an evidence brief.

Meraj Zafar is a 20year old man from Sydney who was charged with the murder of her girlfriend after she was discovered in an acid-filled bathtub.
Her body was discovered in a bathroom in Sydney’s northwest, in what police described as an “absolutely awful scene.”
Zafar was in a romantic relationship with Arnima Hayat, according to the police. Furthermore, the couple has recently moved in together last October.
Zafar arrived at Bankstown police station around 12.30 pm on Monday in response to an appeal to locate him.
Similarly, a white Mitsubishi Fuso truck is believed to be associated with a business he knows, which is kept in captivity. The truck was discovered in Greenacre and was impounded for forensic examination.
“We received a great deal of information about the truck that the man was traveling in, which was really helpful to us,” Superintendent Boon said.
Police were called to the unit after a relative expressed concern about the woman’s well-being. Officers forced their way into the house when they arrived but had to retreat when it became clear that there were chemicals inside.
HAZMAT officials from Fire and Rescue NSW were then dispatched and spent several hours inspecting the scene. Officers found the scene “very challenging,” according to Superintendent Julie Boon.

Meraj Zafar is Arnima Hayat’s murder suspect, and he was arrested at 12.30 pm Monday after he turned himself to Bankstown Police Station. He is not given any jail sentence at the moment as the hearing of the case is still due.
Similarly, The woman’s post-mortem examination is expected to be completed today. This will further provide more insight into the cause of her death and maybe the person responsible for it.
Earlier on Monday, police released CCTV images of a man, believed to be Zafar, driving a tipper truck while sporting a dark beard and sunglasses.

Zafar is scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court via video link on April 5. We assume the hearing will make clear about the incident along with Zafar’s explanation of the action.

Meraz Zafar is currently locked up in prison since Monday as a suspect in the murder of her girlfriend. He was denied bail by Bankstown Local Court on January 30, 2022.
He will be held in prison till his next hearing and maybe furthermore if he is not proven innocent by his attorney on April 5.

Local George Hamilton Milner was taken aback by the events in the normally quiet neighborhood. ‘We have lived here for a couple of years and haven’t heard anything bad, so it was a bit of a surprise to hear it happened across the road,’ he explained.
