Hans Zimmer is a German film score composer and record producer notable for the original soundtracks of a number of hit movies.
Hans Zimmer a Jewish, was born in the city of Frankfurt in West Germany on 12 September 1957.
He began his music career playing keyboards and synthesizers in the 1970s, with the band Krakatoa after been thrown out of eight piano lessons schools.
Zimmer spent the early days of his career in the United Kingdom before moving to the States. He is the head of the film music division at DreamWorks studios.
The 63-year-old is credited with the sounds of movies such as; The Lion King, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Interstellar, Gladiator, Crimson Tide, Inception, Dunkirk, Blade Runner.
