Stacey Abrams is an American politician, lawyer, voting rights activist, and author. She served in the Georgia House of Representatives and became the minority leader in 2011 serving for six years.

Stacey Abrams was born on December 9, 1973, in Madison, Wisconsin. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a product of Spelman College, The University of Texas, Austin (MPA) and Yale University.

Stacey Abrams founded an organization to address voter suppression, in 2011. She called the organization, Fair Fight Action. The organization has been credited with boosting voting turnout and it played a major role in the 2020 presidential election where Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump.

Stacey Adams is running for governor after revealing in a statement that was punished by her website on December 2, 2021.  “I’m running for governor because opportunity and success in Georgia shouldn’t be determined by your zip code, background or access to power”.

Stacey Abrams is not a delta. However, she stated on her Facebook page in 2018 that she was unable to attend a candidate forum hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
