Bhanot married actress Dalljiet Kaur in 2009. The couple welcomed their son Shaarav Bhanot in 2014, They got divorced in 2015.
Bhanot has played Karan in Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar on Zee TV and Agni in Kulvaddhu on Sony TV. He made a cameo appearance on Kaajjal and starred in Star Plus’s Grihasti. He participated in and won the reality show Nach Baliye 4 in 2009 along with his former partner Daljeet Kaur. He has been trained by Hollywood acting coach Michelle Danner.
In 2008, Shalin also take part in Nach Baliye season 4 as a candidate with his wife. Other than serials, Shalin also pops up in Hindi pictures. He create his movie launch with Pyare Mohan in 2006. Shalin also pops up in films like Devdoot, Love ke Fundey, and Chal Jhutey.
