What Happened To Gervonta Davis, Is He Injured Badly?

Gervonta Davis happened to have a hand injury and is not injured badly.

On Saturday in Los Angeles, Gervonta “Tank” Davis overcame some hardship to win a unanimous decision against Mexico’s Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz.

The judges gave the Baltimore native 116-112 and 115-113 twice in the Showtime PPV main event.

Davis (26-0, 24 knockouts) went the distance for the first bout in his professional career but sustained an injury to Gervonta’s left hand in the middle rounds.

In a rare role as the taller man in the fight, Davis hit several of his characteristic power blows, but Cruz never seemed injured, even when his powerful hooks and uppercuts connected.

Davis’s hand injury midway through the battle may have played this role.
