When and How was Peter Tobin Caught?

Peter Britton Tobin was a convicted serial killer and sex offender from Scotland. Peter Tobin’s identity as a serial killer was only revealed after his final victim was discovered hidden beneath the floorboards of a Glasgow church.

Peter Tobin was caught three years after he was released from prison in 2004. He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of twenty-one years for the rape and murder of Angelika Kluk in Glasgow in 2006.

The remains of two teenagers who went missing in 1991 were discovered at his former home in Margate, Kent.

Tobin was convicted of the murder of Vicky Hamilton in December 2008, which resulted in a thirty-year minimum sentence, and of the murder of Dinah McNicol in December 2009, which resulted in a life sentence.

Tobin was labelled a psychopath by a senior psychologist and it was suspected that he was involved in the late 1960s Bible John murders, though police eventually cleared him. Tobin allegedly boasted in prison about having murdered 48 people.
